It's July 2020, this last six months have been so eerie. The world has changed and I'm not sure it will ever be the same. I have been home, not out speaking with communities and kids about life and hope. And everyone needs to hear it now more than ever. The Coronavirus has the whole globe stopped in its track. The Americans are arguing its political, the globe is blaming one country, Americans are blaming a certain political party, which is so ridiculous, how can a political party start a virus that's literally killing everyone? Social media hacks have humans at each other's throats, we have kids home from school, because schools are closed, parents home from work because businesses are closed, no one knows how they can pay their bills, feed their kids or if they will even survive. The news is not even news anymore. There is no one to trust or anything to believe in. How can I fight the despair of suicide in a world that seems to have lost its way? I often wonder what Hanah would think about the world as it is now, it's changed so much since she left us. I have been continually pondering this dilemma since I too have to stay home. The conclusion that I have arrived at is this, Hope. Humans can always hope. I have been on this mission to spread Hope with Hanah since the beginning, and I'm not going to let this virus or the hate stop me now.

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. As a verb, its definitions include: "expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation." Wikipedia
So I'm preparing for a two month trip by car to states that had previously asked me to come speak in their community or schools. I will wear a mask, I will social distance to an extent, but I will hug every human who wants to. I will continue to talk about hope, because the truth is this .....nothing lasts forever. Not the Coronavirus, not the political hate, not the global fear, not you and not me. However while we are here, there are many of us, us human, average folks, black, white, yellow, red, all of us, we in our hearts want good and happy lives and we will overcome all of this strife, how do I know this? Because we always have.
I'm headed west and north, then west, then south, then east........Maybe I will see you out there, spreading this Hope with Hanah and offer you a hug and an ounce of Hope.
